His research has been recognized with Sloan Research Fellowship, USENIX Security "Test of Time" award, multiple IETF Applied Networking Research Prizes, Google Faculty Awards, and Best Paper distinctions from USENIX Security, CCS, and IMC. In 2015, he was named one of MIT Technology Review’s "35 Innovators Under 35" for his work on fast Internet scanning. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2017.
